Fractured Information: Day 353

The brain fills in the missing information to build what we see, what if our information is corrupt?

Down on the Farm: Day 344

Spent the weekend hanging out on a friends farm an hour or two outside of Sao Paulo. I loved it, so quiet and peaceful in the middle of nowhere!

Sao Paulo: Day 343

So I have not posted in quite some time. I kinda have a  good reason, I have relocated my life to Brasil. Its been busy… So here is a photo in an effort to finish off the year posting as I meant to.

This is my  view of Paulista Avenue in Sao Paulo, well my view for the few days I was in Sao Paulo.

I am still on the fence about this city, its big, hectic and crazy. The traffic jams go on for 100’s of KM but it still has a great vibe and I had fun here. Will I be living here in this gigantic city? who knows, maybe one day…

Behind the Scenes Portraits with the Fuji X-Pro1

So I have been wanting to share these images since I shot them but have had to wait… But the wait is over!!!

A few weeks ago I was shooting the beautiful Sophie Rose Harper for Harpers Bazaar Online.  She is the singer of the band The Night VI who are fantastic, I urge you to check them out, I have to admit I am now a fan! It was great to shoot Sophie, she was amazing and pulled of every look with effortless cool…

You can see the full photo shoot for Harpers Bazaar here:

There is also a behind the scenes video so you can see me at work should you wish!

As always I had my Fuji on hand and took some personal portraits of Sophie after the shoot whilst she was being interviewed. I try and do this when I am shooting, its not always possible as things get busy but I am glad I managed it this time even if it was just a handful of snaps behind the scenes. They are simple photos, that’s what I love doing… I didn’t shoot too many either so its not a picture overload.

The great thing about walking around with the Fuji is you become less apparent as a  photographer, even in a studio setting like this. I managed to catch Sophie unaware and as a result ended up with some really nice moments. I achieved a totally different vibe from the shoot we had been doing just 5 minutes earlier.  I am ever increasing in my love for the Fuji X-Pro1. So effective and so easy to use, I wonder what the X-Pro2 will bring… full frame?? even bigger files?

These were shot in pretty low available light at the end of an autumnal day in london, the files the Fuji produces in these conditions are always great, it can push you to try things you hadn’t thought of or dared before. It has in fact got me onto some quite interesting personal photography projects, I shall share when they are ready…

A short blog post this time, the images speak for themselves here i guess, although I cant finish this without giving a mention to the team on this shoot, they are the ones who put the magic touches on it all! Check them out!
