A Sunrise Walk, A Fuji X-Pro1 and Some Thoughts.

I took these a while ago now, one cold morning I was inspired to get up and go for a sunrise walk through the fields to take some photos. I took with me the Fuji X-Pro1 and nothing else.

As I walked the sun rose, it was so peaceful and calm. The beauty of the light and the way it hung off the leaves and the morning air was incredible, i didn’t take to many images in the end I just walked and soaked it all in.

My mind got to thinking how this beautiful place is being destroyed for greed, for the pursuit of profit, man made paper and digits on a computer, how we are killing the living organism that we grew out of, part of the whole that we are. These words came to me , I guess they are about the side of the human psyche that is committing this crime, they probably only make sense to me but I wanted to share anyway.  To be honest they hardly make sense to me but they appeared in my head so I wrote them down.

Landscapes with words.

Down on the Farm: Day 344

Spent the weekend hanging out on a friends farm an hour or two outside of Sao Paulo. I loved it, so quiet and peaceful in the middle of nowhere!

Warwick Castle: Day 93

Another image from my Easter weekend… Is that Lazy? Maybe.. I love this place, its well over priced but if you get the 2-4-1 tickets its worth the trip. This photo is like a view on the past, its great the way they set the tents up outside the castle.

Warwick castle has a special place in my heart as I once worked there. Not in a previous life but in about 1998, it was an awesome time! Its plenty haunted and if you haven’t been I recommend you go at least once!

Transient Landscape: Day 21

Oh how quickly passing everything is, even the earth with its billions of years changes rapidly in the eye of the universe. Everything is transient, photography becomes my attempt to fix some part of my world in time and space, even if for a fleeting moment.

I dont think i could have planned this shot better, i knew i was about to pass a flood plain so i was ready with the camera. Little did i know how beautiful it would turn out.

The movement of the car combined with the water streaming across the glass at dusk, create a image that looks like a painting.

I Love this shot one of my favourites, i think i will be doing a print for my wall…
