Father and Son: Day 31

Shooting from the hip again, it seems i am doing this a lot at the moment. It can pay off though, i love the composition here, all accidental, i saw them and fired a couple of frames off. Its all so simple!

Scream if you Wanna Shop More: Day 30

A happy accident! This just makes me laugh…

That is all really, I didn’t realise I had caught him yawning… Such a wonderful pose.

1/250 sec; f/4.0; ISO 500

1/250 sec; f/4.0; ISO 500

A Man in a Hat: Day 29

I love this guys expression… That combined with the hat makes for a slightly strange image… i tried to crop him in the frame slightly oddly too, trying to add to the strangeness… Well i was happy enough with it to use it for today’s post…

1/125 sec; f/3.6; ISO 3200

1/125 sec; f/3.6; ISO 3200

It was very dark and i hit that high ISO again, not to bad a result though…

A Birds Eye View: Day 28

I promised I’d follow on with the next frame i shot after yesterdays post. Here it is, isn’t it cute the way they are holding hands… Glad i saw them coming and got the shot!

1/250 sec; f/4.0; ISO 500

1/250 sec; f/4.0; ISO 500

Fellow Fuji X Series User: Day 27

Walking along through Covent Garden, shooting from the hip, i noticed this guy and his camera. I had to try and get a shot, a tip of the hat you might say, some respect to the Fuji user. He appears to be holding a X100, i initially though it was another X-Pro1… (i am turning into a camera geek)

1/250 sec; f/4.0; ISO 500

1/250 sec; f/4.0; ISO 500

Actually really happy with this shot, I love the way he is looking straight into the lens, i think he spotted me and my Fuji X-Pro1…

(Have a look at the two little girls behind, i am going to blog the next frame i took, its cute…)

Mannequin Army: Day 26

I crept up to the shop front, hiding in the shadows, i wondered for a while what the meeting was about. Then it hit me, i may have stumbled upon a plot to take over the world. I got my shot and got the hell outta there…

1/32 sec; f/2.0; ISO 4000

1/32 sec; f/2.0; ISO 4000

So the other day i said i wasn’t going to use high ISO again.. Maybe i lied, this was so dark i had to push it all i could!!

Underground Makeup: Day 25

This is a pretty common sight on the tube and i couldn’t resist getting a snap. I managed to get this shot on manual focus, successfully guessing the distance, result! This is how i am trying to shoot on the street now.

1/64 sec; f/5.0; ISO 2500

1/64 sec; f/5.0; ISO 2500

This is the strength of the X-Pro1, subtlety… There is no way I’d have got this with a DSLR, i can see my self improving with the system now. I am learning how to live with this camera more everyday, still loving it but i have my concerns that i will share with you all soon.
